As Tax and Treasury Manager, you will lead the European Tax and Treasury function of a global technology business from their European Centre of Excellence in Cork.
Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you will collaborate with the local finance function in Europe while working closely with tax and treasury colleagues in the US based HQ.
This customer centric technology business strives for innovation and has been recognised for their collaborative and supportive workforce in achieving business objectives.
Ideally this will suit a curious and commercially minded tax professional, who is keen to manage the day-to-day tax and treasury operations while maintaining a strategic mindset to support innovation.
Hybrid working arrangements with an expectation to work from the office in Cork three days a week.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Tax
• Drive tax strategy initiatives, while developing tax optimisation strategies
• Support various business projects i.e. restructuring, M&A
• Navigate and manage tax controversy and dispute resolution.
• Implement and manage transfer pricing strategies and policies.
• Research, document, and analyse new tax legislation in Europe and its potential impact on the business.
• Oversee the direct and indirect tax compliance process in Europe.
• Manage the tax provision process for Europe.
Treasury
• Support cash management strategies and funding requirements.
• Co-ordinate bank administration activities.
• Enhance corporate treasury operations through process improvements.
• Collaborate with the wider team to improve working capital.
ABOUT THE PERSON
• At least 7 years’ experience.
• Tax or Accounting qualification essential.
• Experience in a US corporate advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with various stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment.
