An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Mobility Tax Specialist to join an Irish global multinational. You will be part of the global mobility team, responsible for delivering the global mobility plan for the group. Reporting to the global mobility tax manager and working closely with the Global Head of Mobility and Divisional Reward Directors with exposure across all parts of the business.

About the position

  • Assume responsibility for the day to day operations of the group’s Mobility programme;
  • Support the global business leadership with Mobility related advice including transfer/relocation costs, tax and immigration guidance;
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager in all aspects of cross-border situations, implement plans/take action to ensure the company is compliant and ensure individuals are aware of any personal taxation implications;
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager and Global Head of Mobility in preparing compensation summaries and liaise with the business/assignees on finalising and agreeing compensation packages;
  • Ensure compliance from an individual tax, immigration and corporate risk perspective for the group’s mobile population;
  • Identify and drive initiatives to improve the program’s efficiency and to enhance the assignee experience;
  • Contribute materials and communication to promote awareness and understanding of global mobility within the group;
  • Ensure governance and adherence to company global mobility policies;
  • Involvement in the commercial management of the Global Mobility function, including the review and approval of Third Party vendor invoices, regular expenditure tracking and support for Finance with the forecasting and funding accrual process;
  • Maintain relationships, manage contracts and ensure performance aligns to Key Performance Indicators with all Third Party vendors

 

About the person

  • Qualified tax professional with a minimum of 3+ years of global mobility tax experience ( Senior or Assistant Manager level from a practice background);
  • Very good understanding of mobility practices and policy, social security, immigration and tax requirements;
  • Very good understanding of personal tax in cross border situations;
  • Experience with compensation summary preparation;
  • Previous vendor management experience beneficial;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Able to deal with senior stakeholders in a confident and comfortable manner.
