Barden are working with a well know City Centre tech company to recruit a Head of FP&A for a 12-month contract.  The successful candidate will be an experienced FP&A manager with significant exposure to driving business growth through key relationships with sales teams and major customers.  This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with 8 to 10 years PQE in FP&A to gain experience with a large international business to build their CV for the future. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

‘This is a crucial role to our business as we go through a significant transition period.  We need an assertive and confident people manager who can lead a strong team of analysts as well as interact productively with the rest of the finance team.  They must have experience in working with sales and marketing teams and customers to manage pricing, product mix and spend in order to improve margins and overall business performance.’

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Management and mentoring of FP&A team
  • Business Partner to Sales and Marketing teams
  • Preparation of financial models for new product development, pricing, cost saving etc
  • Reporting on variances to budgets/forecasts
  • Management of cash spend and always conscious of its effect on P&L
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Continue to develop strong working relationship with teams in US and APAC

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified accountant with 8 to 10 years PQE
  • Experience in a similar role in a large global business
  • Experience in the IT/Software/e-commerce industry
  • Must have people management experience
  • Must have experience working closely with sales and marketing teams
  • Excellent systems, processes and business partnering skills
  • Desire to take ownership with an ability to follow through to completion
  • Commercially astute and able to contribute to decision makin
