ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will play a role in delivering a superior service to internal customers. The role encompasses a broad range of tasks and the successful candidate will have responsibility for the correct processing of marketing budgets and purchase orders in EMEA. Responsibilities will include for example: Financial Accounting, Compliance, Budgeting, Auditing, Financial analysis and Systems knowledge.

* Review and approval of marketing requisitions
* Addressing sales issues and tracking of POs and adhering to strict marketing guidelines
* Validation of marketing accruals and adherence to company policy on spend
* Collaborate with FP&A to create and manage local marketing budgets
* Liaising with customers / vendors on marketing commitments
* Contribute to continuous system improvements
* Compliance for area of responsibility, including related documentation
* Analysis of marketing commitments by country to track spending by activity type and by sales channel – making recommendations/observations to management thereon
* Audit of certain marketing activities (rebate programs, bonuses) to verify amounts being claimed tie back to supporting sales information
* Assistance with ad hoc reports/request for information from regional budget owners/corporate HQ/EMEA FP&A and finance team
* Assistance with processing and releasing quarter end and month end close of marketing accruals

The successful candidate will:
* Strong Excel skills
* Strong analytical and reporting skills
* Experience with accounting systems
* Solid foundation in the principles of accounting
* Adaptable and enthusiastic and eager to learn
* Independent and self-directed
* Strong interpersonal skills required and ability to work collaboratively with others
* Ability to build strong relationships internally across functions and with management
* Quick-learner with an ability to cope in a high volume, high performing environment.
