An opportunity for a tax manager to join a global healthcare company and be part of a newly restructured centre of excellence. located in Dublin.  A very flexible working arrangement is in place including the opportunity to work primarily from home so long as you can be accessible to join in person team meetings every 2nd week.

 The Tax Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the Company’s US’s headquartered tax function to ensure tax reporting activities are completed. A project management type role as you will coordinate the tax accounting and tax compliance activities which are performed by the finance teams in the centre of excellence or local finance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the quarterly tax reporting activities and regional tax compliance activities that are performed with the finance teams or external advisors
  • Act as the primary contact for the Corporate tax function for tax matters related to the jurisdictions in region.
  • Ensure internal or 3rd party resources are also complying with internal standards around completion dates, record retention and workpaper support appropriate to defend tax filings that ultimately become subject to tax audit.
  • Develop, update, and communicate internally and externally all key metrics for areas of oversight.
  • Oversee the training and use of technology and software tools by local tax, regional Finance or 3rd party advisors
  • Participate in special projects overseen by Finance or Tax that involving the analysis and/or review of business transactions on the tax position of a country in the region.

ABOUT THE PERSON:     

  • Accounting/Tax qualification
  • Strong experience managing tax compliance
  • Understanding of GAAP, financial forecasting, and budget management/reporting required
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and team with multiple teams and external advisors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail oriented; excellent analytical skills
  • A strong team player who will fit into a nice working environment
