Barden are delighted to have been asked to act exclusively on behalf of a large international business to support the appointment of an Accounting Manager for the Shared Service Centre (SSC).
The Accounting Manager for the SSC is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and managing the accounting team within the SSC.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Lead and manage the SSC accounting team, ensuring performance and development.
- Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Own the accounting workflows/processes, and ensure timely month/year-end close.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Qualified accountant.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a shared service or multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
