ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for both euro and foreign currency bank accounts.
- Prepare and post month-end journals, and manage month-end close processes, including general ledger reconciliations.
- Examine and interpret general ledger transactions to ensure accurate recording of direct and indirect costs.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assist in the creation of year-end statutory accounts.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
- Compile audit files for the year-end audit process.
- Work closely with AR/AP team members to ensure accurate billing and payment support.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Communicate effectively with various departments within the organisation.
- Handle additional tasks as needed.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn.
- Experience in a similar role within the Irish market.
- Qualified Accounts Technician or part-qualified Accountant, actively pursuing ACCA/CPA/CIMA certification.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships at all levels within the organisation.
- Experience with Sage is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
