Here in Barden we are delighted to have been engaged by an SME that’s known for being a leader in it’s field to assist in the search for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team here in Cork. Based on outskirts of the city this individual will be working under a skilled and welcoming mentor/Finance Manager and will be a part of a team that is making a real impact in the construction industry in Cork. ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Daily, weekly & monthly reporting
- Invoice approval checks and timely entry of purchase invoices
- Payment of suppliers on a weekly basis
- Dealing with supplier & invoice queries
- Creditor reconciliations and accruals
- Processing of credit notes
- General ledger coding of invoices
- Posting of wages journals
- VAT returns
- Dealing with queries
- Processing bank transactions and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for the legal entities
- Weekly bank reporting to the Senior Management Team
- Administration of Petty cash and preparation of petty cash reconciliations
- Processing supplier payments
- Managing and setting up new bank accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end accounts
- Assist with the annual financial audit
- Cashflow
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- At least 2 years experience in an Accounts Assistant / Accounting Technician role desirable
- Enthusiastic, highly organised individual with a focus on results
- Strong Excel Skills
- High attention to detail
