Barden are delighted to be engaged exclusively by a large Irish Business to identify an Assistant Financial Controller. Leaders in their field, this manufacturing business is experiencing considerable growth and is well positioned for further success the near future.
The client is looking for a strong #2 to support an experienced Financial Controller. This role will touch on all aspects of Finance and will have a strong focus on manufacturing variables.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is key hire for the business, offering high levels of exposure to the wider business.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
– Monthly P&L reporting, review of variances to Budgets & Forecasts and providing valuable insights to drive business performance
– Take on a lead role in forecasting and budgeting process
– Liquidity, Treasury & Working Capital analysis, forecasting and reporting
– Manage the statutory financial reporting and audit cycle
– Act as the centre point of contact with external auditors
– Take on a business partnering role representing Finance supporting various ad hoc projects and general day-to-day operations
– Support the various team members in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
– Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors
ABOUT THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will have:
– Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of experience
– Strong Technical Skills
– Deadline focussed with an ability to drive things forward
– High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
– Questioning attitude to drive efficiencies
