Barden are working closely with the Director of a US multinational pharmaceutical who has a new opportunity for an Associate Director focused on Business Process Improvement for their large Global Payroll Function. 

“I currently have an opportunity on my global team for a strong Process Improvement Expert with strong payroll knowledge to take on a position of ownership within the business. This person will identify key areas of development within the business, designs roadmaps around process improvements and implements positive changes to processes to support business partners. Given that we are industry leaders in terms of investing in technology this will be an exciting opportunity for someone to define roadmaps for future process improvement and technology-related advances and work with cutting edge technologies.“

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Supporting and engaging with key stakeholders in the business and finance leaders driving strategy and improvement in systems and processes Worldwide across Payroll and Project Costing
  • Designing strategic roadmaps for initiatives to improve processes and prioritizing these for execution
  • Determine and analyst the  scope of projects based on pain-points and challenges identified in the end to end process
  • Business Process Modelling
  • Accountable for end to end business processes, driving simplification, alignment, standardisation and optimisation
  • Supporting a number of enhancements: systems/ technology based, geographical transition of entities, process modernisation etc;
  • Finalising the design of process modernisation projects that are nearing completion
  • Following and assisting with the design of the “go-live” process and following the sequence to “go-live”
  • Testing & supporting end users globally
  • Benchmarking against other best in class companies
  • Program and project managing, bridging gap between business and IT in respect of Payroll
  • Development of business cases for changes/ investments in the Payroll space
  • Interacting and engaging with finance leaders and supporting them on their requirements, making decisions with the director on what is feasible and what is not feasible

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • You will be decisive, proactive and assertive with a strong work ethic and ability to structure and manage your time effectively
  • 4+  years of experience identifying, owning, and delivering on process improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Payroll & Workday a distinct advantage
  • A positive, energetic and can-do attitude is a must and strong communication skills
  • Strong proven project management skills
  • Oracle experience is an advantage
