Barden is partnering with an international professional services company looking to appoint a Company Secretary to join their corporate secretarial team, at Assistant Manager or Manager level.
This is a business known for their focus on training and progression at all levels, with all the senior leadership team having trained with the company. The business has state of the art and very pleasant offices in Dublin city centre, with a few social areas.
The corporate secretarial team is responsible for an extremely varied portfolio of clients – large/small, international/domestic, regulated/non-regulated entities, etc. – and their work involves much more than the often typical focus on meetings/minutes. The technical exposure in the team’s work is second to none and often akin to what lawyers would do in other organisations, particularly at Manager level (which is a level that an Assistant Manager can aspire to in a relatively quick time). The role at Manager level (with the support of an Assistant Manager) is focused on ensuring client satisfaction and overseeing the day-to-day work of their more junior direct reports, of which there would be 2 or 3. The Manager (and to a certain degree, the Assitant Manager) would be very involved in “meaty” projects, including those related to corporate transactions and general compliance.
THE PERSON
- ICSA qualified Company Secretary;
- 4+ years of relevant company secretarial experience in a practice/professional services environment;
- For Manager level, candidates should have previous people management experience (supervising, reviewing and delegating work);
- Experience working with a varied company portfolio (not solely focused on funds for example, particularly for the Manager position).
