Barden has been engaged by a global law firm, which has grown considerably over the past few years, to assist with the recruitment of a Corporate Lawyer for their UAE location. The ideal candidate will have a strong corporate background, gained within a large-scale international or regional top tier firm. A broad background encompassing M&A and JV deals, foreign direct investment (FDI) and corporate structuring is preferable.
ABOUT THE ROLE
– Prepare and draft legal corporate documents;
– Conduct due diligence and draft due diligence reports on legal matters;
– Prepare and advise on commercial documents;
– Support on M&A/JV deals, and assist with FDI matters;
– Work on broader commercial matters as required;
– Ensure all contribution to projects are executed in accordance with the firm’s methodologies, guidance, and professional standards;
– Participate in the business development activities of the corporate team; and
– Contribute to the growth of the team by ensuring client matters are worked on in an efficient manner.
ABOUT THE PERSON
– Qualified lawyer with a 2:1 (or higher) degree classification (or equivalent) attained from a reputed academic institution;
– 0-2 years post qualification experience as a corporate lawyer gained within recognised international law firms;
– Common law qualified or admitted as a solicitor within a commonwealth jurisdiction;
– Draft structurally consistent and clear legal documents in English
– Have a mature and flexible personality; use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
– Be able to work well autonomously and as part of a larger team;
– Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience; and
– Be a driven, enthusiastic and flexible team player.
