Barden is delighted to partner with a leading Irish business in their search for a Credit Controller to join their finance team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
As part of the credit control function, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting overall financial operations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication and analytical skills.
The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will:
- Implement company credit control policies and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms
- Manage customer collections through letters, phone calls, and stop lists
- Contact customers daily regarding overdue payments
- Process and approve credit applications
- Handle customer queries related to credit control issues
- Prepare monthly aged debt and risk reports for senior management and the sales team
- Monitor and pursue returned payments
- Ensure debtor policy procedures are followed for overdue balances
- Manage Atradius credit insurance in line with agreed terms
The Ideal Person
- 5+ years of experience in credit control or a similar role
- Strong IT and data management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong business acumen and numerical ability
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong customer focus and problem-solving mindset
