Barden we are delighted to be working with an international Professional Services firm, now seeking a Data Governance Manager to join their growing team working remotely.
This role will focus on identifying current data risks and any data quality gaps as well as developing and implementing the internal data governance framework.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Establish data management policies and procedures
- Promote and drive best practices to improve data quality
- Review and improve on data warehousing and reporting technology and security
- Establish mechanism to maintain and monitor quality of data in a shared data management environment
- Maintain and monitor quality of data
- Identify data quality gaps (complete, accurate, timeliness, consistency, valid, unique)
- Data analysis with the capability of identifying data quality issues, correlating those issues with data specifications and quality rules, identifying solutions to data gaps
- Develop deep understanding of data governance policies
- Develop deep understanding of data processes and system flows
- Enforces data inputs and outputs processes based on data governance policies
- Make recommendations on data management, data governance, and best practices
- Develop regular accurate and timely data exception reporting
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Bachelor’s degree in related area – technology, business
- Around 5 years experience within data management/data control
- Competency in managing ‘big data’
- Strong data analytical and conceptual thinking skills
