Hiring Manager Quote – (DevOps Director)
Right now, they are seeking a number of DevOps Professionals (from Mid-Senior/ Principal level) to work across their ‘Global DevOps Team’.
These are Permanent positions with an excellent overall package & full Remote working.
My client factor in three key areas within DevOps –
Infrastructure – Developer Experience – SRE
They have vacancies for those with experience in:
A). Data-Center, AWS, Networking, Databases
B). Deployment Pipelines, Tooling, Release Mgt etc
C). Reliability, Scalability, Observability etc
The DevOps team collaborate hugely each day & have combined goals / focus such as – Automation, Toil Removal, Blameless, Faster Feedback loops, Pair Programming etc…
The successful candidate will be encouraged to have a voice & impact on their Global DevOps Road-map moving forward. You’ll be given time for Research & Innovation as well.
Here’s a sample of the different type of work each team focuses on –
1). Work with the SRE team to design & manage services both on-prem & in the Cloud, identifying ways to improve engineering teams development experience & reduce their toil. Assisting in improving the observability of systems & applications
2). Work with your team & the Engineering Org to define & refine a robust redundant infrastructure capable of scaling with the demand. Develop & improve system management tools to reduce manual efforts & increase efficiency. Adapting & improving infrastructure to accommodate increase in growth & traffic.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- You’ll be someone who comes from either a Software or Infrastructure background, there are openings for both Profile types.
- Previous experience of identifying ways to improve engineering teams development experience and reducing their toil.
- Passionate about providing the expertise, tools and guidance to Development (or Platform) teams helping them to deliver value to Users with key considerations such as – Reliability & Sustainability.
