Director of Corporate Services (Cayman)

Based in the Cayman Islands, the Director of Corporate Services is responsible for planning, directing and leading all aspects of the Corporate Services policies, objectives and initiatives.  The Director will work with the Managing Director of Corporate Services and the Senior Management Team to implement the ongoing strategies and vision for Corporate Services.  The Director will also be required to play a significant role in developing the business, securing new mandates and developing relationships with asset managers and other industry participants.

 

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Lead teams of Corporate Services professionals across multiple jurisdictions including Cayman, Dubai and Hong Kong
  • Manage the day to day operations of the global Corporate Services teams, including performance management, reporting, risk and compliance, training and development
  • Develop and enhance a high performance culture across the team
  • Along with the MD act as one of the senior escalation points for all client related matters within the Corporate Services team
  • Pro-actively maintain and develop key client and intermediary relationships
  • Work with the MD and to implement commercial strategies
  • Monitor and keep abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring that any changes are formalised into a project plan to effectively implement policy / system changes
  • Act as key intermediary between law firm and the Corporate Services team
  • Assist the MD with responses to any regulatory inspections or audits that impact the Corporate Services team
  • Work closely with the MD and Finance with regards to the management and execution of the invoicing and credit control process
  • Optimise the use of technology to create efficiencies and unique client solutions.  Advance and enhance internal processes by driving continuing improvements within systems and workflows

 

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Senior level Executive at Partner / Director level
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant and demonstrable experience in a similar role at Partner / Director level, including team management and change management experience
  • Knowledge of Cayman laws and regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and determine impact of decisions on firm
  • Strong inter-personal skills with proven ability to lead and promote a high performance culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid track record of delivering business development initiatives
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a proactive and solution-driven attitude
