Barden have been exclusively engaged with a Cork business, who are leaders in the field of Engineering Services. They are currently seeking a highly ambitious Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring financial control, compliance, and strategic planning to support continued growth. This is a hands-on role requiring a commercially minded finance professional who can work closely with senior management and operational teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, RCT, and Corporation Tax).
- Oversee payroll and subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage working capital, credit control, and supplier payments.
Business & Strategic Support:
- Monitor and improve profitability across projects and service contracts.
- Develop and implement financial controls and processes to improve efficiency.
Team Management:
- Oversee and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance.
- Liaise with project managers and operations teams to improve financial reporting and cost tracking.
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management skills.
- Ability to analyse financial data to support strategic decisions.
- Strong ability to work with non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
