Financial Controller (Irish Business – Retail)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for regular commercial reporting to Executive management providing insights that are accurate and timely to support strategic planning and decision making.
  • Responsible for annual budgeting and long term forecasting, aligning to corporate objectives.
  • Collaboration with other ‘heads of’ departments, seeking ways to support and demonstrate opportunities to progress the business, utilising data to understand business performance.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging existing and new technologies to enhance the control environment and improve all elements of financial information.
  • Lead a strong governance environment, supporting all areas of the business.
  • Attend and present at Executive meetings.
  • Foster relationships promoting a customer focused culture.
  • Responsible for defining and owning your own teams development plans.
  • Overall responsibility for Monthly management packs, Annual Financial Statements & audit, taxation, company secretarial and treasury duties.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant with 5 – 8 years + PQE including senior finance level positions.
  • People management experience, effectively coaching and mentoring direct reports.
  • Ability to work with all levels including non finance; working independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude, solution driven.
  • Strong systems capabilities with a proven track record in enhancements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
