It’s not often part-time Finance opportunities come to the Cork market despite the ever-growing demand for flexibility. We are very proud to be exclusively engaged by an Irish SME in the renewable energy space to help identify a Finance Controller.

The business is looking for a strong Finance professional to partner with as they enter a new phase of growth. The Financial Controller will take on a lead role in setting up the Finance function to high standard, capitalising on digitalisation and implementing best practice controls and processes. You will be responsible for all aspects of Finance, from the day-to day activities as well as providing value add advise on the commercial aspects of the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsibilities will include:

–    Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and year end reporting, investigation of variances and overall results to assist business performance.

–    Contribute towards the strategies for driving revenue growth and cost efficiencies.

–    Responsibility for the preparation and coordination of the budgeting and forecasting process.

–    Act as a key Finance Business Partner to the business leaders, assisting in the operational management of their business units and the provision of financial support.

–    Provide strong balance sheet and working capital management.

–    Implement robust financial, controls and reporting systems.

–    Take on a lead role in the preparation of statutory accounts and management of the external audit.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will have:

–    Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)

–    Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills

–    Proven ability to influence at all levels in the organization

–    Excellent commercial acumen

–    Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines

–    Organised and efficient personality, positive attitude
