Barden are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing SaaS (Software as a Service) business to identify a Financial Controller. The business is a huge success story for Cork in recent years with significant growth in its industry and are well positioned to capture further market growth globally.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who will be proactive in managing the financial affairs of the organisation and who can build strong relationships across all level of the business. This person will be working with an established finance team and reporting directly to the CFO, the role offers a broad range of duties with a strong focus on commercial finance activity.

ABOUT THE ROLE
– Review and consolidation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash-flow
– Treasury management – Cash flow review, currency monitoring and liaising with bank stakeholders
– Analysis of key metrics for SaaS businesses providing insight on how to drive efficiencies and improvements
– Assist the CFO in preparing and presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
– Responsible for developing and managing the budgeting and forecasting cycles
– Review monthly variances to budget making recommendations as necessary
– Ensure all statutory, tax and other compliance returns are completed on time
– Leadership of finance team
ABOUT THE PERSON:
– Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
– 5-8 years plus post qualification experience in a business environment, preferably with SaaS knowledge
– Proven ability to influence at a senior level in the organization
– Good understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
– Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
– Positive attitude with a high level of personal integrity
– Experience in leading teams and driving high performance outcomes
