Barden have been engaged to support a well recognised business based in the heart of West Cork to identify a Financial Controller to join the Senior Management team. Our client is seeking an experienced finance professional to take full ownership of their financial and administrative functions, working closely with the Directors to shape the future of their business.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • Responsible for the Finance function, ensure timely reporting, and preparation of monthly financial statements and cash flow projections.
  • Drive the implementation of business plans, financial strategies, and capital budgeting processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Directors to support growth, guide key decisions, and optimise operations.
  • Champion best practices, strengthen systems, and train teams to build financial acumen across the business.
  • Maintain control systems, ensure compliance with audit, taxation and regulatory standards, and manage external auditor relationships.
  • Deliver clear, timely financial insights to the Board and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage forecasts, and oversee insurance and funding requirements.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA) with 5+ years in senior finance roles.
  • Manufacturing experience desirable with strong commercial and operational insight.
  • Proven leader with integrity, decisiveness, and business partnering skills.
  • Detail-focused and deadline-driven with a track record of delivering results.
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
