Leading Irish Plc have engaged Barden to introduce a high calibre financial reporting and advisory manager to their team in South Dublin (Hybrid working).
Part of a sub-team of 5, but sitting as part of a larger Group function, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Being part of this team provides exciting opportunities to build a wide network of relationships across all functions and territories; access to a wide variety of challenging and interesting work adding value for key senior stakeholders across the Group; to develop project management and decision-making skils.
The team is a valued business partner that provides practical solutions to accounting complexities to a range of teams across the Group, divisional offices and operations.
The team supports the business development and tax teams to determine the optimal structures for deals; supports local finance teams in preparing opening balance sheets for newly acquired businesses; presents at internal conferences and rolls out training; and responds to ad-hoc IFRS queries across the Group as they arise.
Project based work includes preparing the Group for changes in accounting policies and developing / maintaining the Group accounting manual in conjunction with key stakeholders.
During external reporting cycles, the team is involved in reviewing financial reporting pack submissions; preparing financial statement notes and journals; completing disclosure checklists; and is responsible for the external preliminary results announcement publication.
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will be a Big 4/Top 10 trained ACA with 4-6 years PQE, either in a large corporate environment, or within a Big 4/Top 10 firm.
