Due to continued growth plans, a new position has been created for a tax manager to join the tax team of a business within the renewable energy sector. 

A diverse & broad role as you will work across all areas of tax with exposure to compliance, advisory, transactional and deal work.  As the tax team is an integral part of the business, you will have the opportunity to develop your commercial skills and work closely with non tax functions on various projects and tax matters.

About the position

  • Support on all tax compliance requirements across direct & indirect taxes, employment and payroll taxes
  • Involvement in tax reporting & accounting work liaising with group finance 
  • Support the head of tax on all IPO tax planning projects
  • Work closely with the M&A team with all M&A tax processes including due diligences, management presentations and post acquisition work
  • Advising key stakeholders and across various business units on the tax implications of any group restructures, financing and reorganisations etc as they arise
  • Involvement with Transfer Pricing initiatives and processes
  • Work with the team on various management reports such as CFO reports, board reports and equity investor reports
  • Take a proactive approach in improving and implementing new processes 
  • Develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders, external advisors and revenue authorities 

About the person 

  • Qualified tax professional, qualified accountant preferable with a strong background in corporate tax gained from a big 4 practice or/and MNC
  • Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative
  • Able to articulate complicated tax concepts in a simple manner to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
