Barden is working with a well known business in the renewable energy sector seeking a solicitor with strong commercial training to join its legal team in either Cork or Dublin (2 days onsite required).
The successful candidate will work as the lead lawyer for a specific high profile project which will run for multiple years. There is a dotted line into and support from the wider Legal team.
The position will offer good work-life balance and the company will also consider candidates seeking a 4 day week.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will support the Project Director and team with the provision of legal advice across a range of areas relevant to the programme, including commercial contracts, corporate, construction, energy law and governance matters. The role will also be responsible for managing and supporting external counsel.

THE PERSON
- Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with a minimum of circa 4 years’ PQE;
- Solid corporate/commercial legal training, ideally with a top tier firm;
- Strong experience providing legal advice on commercial issues and reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Experience in energy, construction, regulatory/administrative law matters is a significant advantage.
- A very commercial mindset, with the ability to consider and potentially challenge a wide range of legal issues and provide practical and risk-based recommendations.
