ROLE: Information Security Specialist – (12-month contract)
LOCATION: Cork OR Remote

This role can be worked remotely in Ireland for the most part with some monthly trips to their Cork HQ.
Reporting into the ‘Information Security Lead’ who excels when it comes to Coaching & Mentoring, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to manage the organization’s ‘Security Awareness’ training programme.
You’ll also take the lead in ensuring the organization’s continued compliance to ISO 27001 security control requirements, accreditation is maintained.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You’ll get involved in – developing & driving the implementation of company-wide Cybersecurity best practices, for instance –
- Cloud Security
- Threat Management
- Access Control
- Asset Management
- Data Loss Prevention etc..
This role will also expose you to developing and maintaining information security policies, standards and procedures.
Information Security Incident management plan and execution, including tabletop exercises.
You’ll take the lead in managing Vulnerability management process, including the coordination of the external penetration testing and the remediation of Infrastructure and Web application vulnerabilities.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Your background will enable you to perform that key ‘Trusted Advisor’ role providing guidance on implementing new controls within Azure and AWS to further enhance Cloud infrastructure Security.
- You’ll also be adept at driving Security improvements by evaluating the prevailing landscape and have a passion for keeping abreast of the latest cutting-edge Tech.
- Having an ability to assess technical and organizational security controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, including the remediation of deficiencies would also be great.
- The successful candidate will have experience of operating in a fast-changing and dynamic environment.
