About the position
- Provide strategic tax guidance to management on business activities including managing tax audits for the group
- Monitor tax legislation changes, assess their impact, and ensure effective implementation across the business, including identifying risks and providing technical support to tax and accounting teams.
- Collaborate with business teams on commercial transactions and go-to-market strategies to minimize tax risks.
- Work with external accounting firms to prepare and review Ireland’s tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage tax records, prepare reports, and process claims for tax refunds or credits.
- Liaise with local tax authorities to secure and maintain the company’s tax positions.
About the person
- Management experience at a multinational corporation and/or Big 4 firm (AD level at a minimum) with a deep technical expertise in corporate tax matters
- A hands on approach to managing tax issues and providing practical solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally with a particular strength of managing revenue relationships
- Proven experience with problem solving, prioritization, and process improvements.
- Ability to work independently and/or cross functionally
