ROLE: IT Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Dublin City
Barden IT are delighted to be supporting a renowned Irish company in their search for an ‘IT Systems Administrator’.
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the successful person will join a team of 5 who are constantly ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest technologies, and will support the IT Infrastructure Manager in the support, maintenance and enhancement of the Infrastructure and Cyber Security environments.
This role has become available as a result of growth in their Infrastructure Security workload because of the team constantly working to find a better way to do things.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Administration of the network, systems and cyber infrastructure.
- Monitoring and maintaining system security.
- Aid the IT Infrastructure Manager in ensuring a quality support service is delivered to the business.
- Project Management – Managing project activities from initiation through to project completion.
- Change Management – Working closely with third party technical architects, solution designers and developers on proposed solutions.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Experience in IT with a focus on general Systems/Security Administration and projects.
- Excellent administrative knowledge of and proven experience in the following technologies:
- Windows Server 2012-2022
- Hyper-V
- Active Directory Management
- SCCM
- SQL 2016-2019
- Endpoint Protection Technologies
- Network Access Control (NAC) solutions,
- Backup methodology and management
- Check Point firewall
- Excellent knowledge of and proven experience in best practice Information Security, e.g. Incident Response, Intrusion mgmt., Attack Monitoring, Network mgmt., Threat and Vulnerability Management, e.g. SIEM, EDR, Firewall, IPS, Server config controls.
- Excellent Knowledge of and proven experience in SAN technology (ideally HPE, Dell, Brocade).
