Barden is working with a large and well established property & casualty insurer seeking to identify a lawyer to join their legal department.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will support the Head of Legal in the delivery of the legal strategy and on its alignment with the overall commercial objectives of the company. This individual will work autonomously in some of the following matters:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and advising the business on the legal risks associated with the company’s contracting activity
- Monitoring existing contractual relationships and support business throughout the lifecycle of the contract
- Supporting on vendor onboarding and procurement activities as the representative of the legal function
- Identifying, assessing and advising on the legal risks associated with a variety of matters, such as:
- Freedom of Information requests
- Company material
- Existing and Emerging Legislation which may impact the core insurance business
- New product development and insurance policy wording
- Providing training on legal matters and liaise as required with other company functions, such as Risk & Compliance, Data Protection Officer, Internal Audit.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Qualified Irish Solicitor ideally with 3+ years’ PQE
- Experience working in a fast paced office environment, with fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle different deadlines.
