ABOUT THE COMPANY
Barden has been engaged by a leading Irish business who is seeking a solicitor to join its legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor who is looking to develop their career in a progressive in-house legal team. This will initially be a 12-18 month fixed term contract.
This business operates a hybrid working environment. The legal team is based in Cork but the business also has a Dublin office and so attendance in Cork once every 3 or 4 weeks is sufficient once the person has settled in.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing advice to the business across a range of legal issues (to include commercial, corporate, M&A, data protection, property and wider compliance matters)
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Providing legal assistance and co-ordinating external lawyers on mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
- Ensuring data protection compliance across the business
- Drafting and advising on data processing agreements and related issues
- Management of external advisors across the above matters
- Ongoing ad hoc advices to the business

ABOUT THE PERSON
- You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland, with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in commercial/corporate
- You will have excellent commercial acumen and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
