ROLE: Mobile Software Engineering Lead

LOCATION: Cork / Ireland or UK Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client who are expanding Globally through various acquisitions

are now on a journey to creating a global employee communications offering for the new and radically changed world of work. Key areas of business strategic focus are – Enterprise Digital signage Software, Office space management solutions (.i.e Flexible desk & conference room bookings).

They are significantly investing in enhancing their Mobile Platform to ensure it remains compelling for large customers. Mobile is a pivotal part of their larger platform and must meet all of the requirements of a large enterprise in terms of features and functionality, but also best practices, quality, security and scalability.

Right now, our client are seeking a talented ‘Mobile Application Lead’ to join their growing mobile development team.

This is an opportunity to work with a high performing engineering team that builds technology which enables people to interact with their workplace in new and innovative ways.

The successful candidate will report to the Software Engineering Manager and leading a team of mobile developers, where you will leverage Swift, iOS SDK, and other cutting-edge technologies.

This Permanent position can be worked on a Hybrid basis at their Cork, Ireland HQ OR fully remote throughout Ireland OR the United Kingdom.

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become a ‘Change Leader’ where you can influence Product roadmaps and the Technical direction of the Mobile unit moving into the future.

Responsibilities:

· You will lead the team of app developers working across both iOS and Android

· Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

· Design and build advanced Workplace applications on the iOS platform?

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features?

· Work on maintaining and improving existing applications and frameworks?

· Participate in agile software development practices, and peer code reviews

· Provide Technical leadership and direction to the team through – support, knowledge-transfer coaching, & mentoring.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

· Previous experience leading successful agile teams

· Experience guiding and mentoring teams on best practices

· Strong background across commercial iOS development

· Deep understanding of the full Mobile development life cycle?

· Ideally you might have published examples of mobile applications in the App Store?

· Solid experience of Swift 5 and iOS SDKs (any Android programming experience would be a bonus)?
