Barden IT are currently partnering with a Global a cutting-edge Software company organisation in their search for this key Principal Software Engineering position.
This Global organisation’s ‘Intelligent System Design’ strategy delivers Software, Hardware & IP that powers everyday technology from smartphones and driverless cars to micro-chips for the Aviation industry. This role will predominantly focus on C++ Programming.
Reporting to the Software Engineering Director, you would have the opportunity to be an individual contributor on software development projects involving software design, implementation, validation, maintenance and documentation from their new state-of-the-art European hub in Cork or from their Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Dublin.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for designing and developing leading edge EDA physical verification products at advanced nodes. Performs as individual contributor on software development projects involving software design, implementation, validation, maintenance and documentation.
- Trouble shoot and fix software bugs
- Design and implement new software modules, projects and flows
- Maintain, enhance and document existing software
- Maintain and enhance software testing suites within R&D development environment
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Requires extensive experience in developing large-scale C/C++ software
- Knowledge in computational geometry and graph algorithms
- Knowledge of python programming is a plus
- Knowledge of EDA software development is desired.
- Knowledge on the foundry qualification of EDA tool is preferred.
