Barden is partnering with an international retailer looking to hire a senior compliance professional to devise the framework of the global compliance program for ESG/Sustainability. This is a critical role in the organisation, with strong growth and progression path towards a “Head Of” position.
THE ROLE
The successful individual will be responsible for building, developing, implementing and monitoring the compliance program in relation to Environmental and Social Regulations, in alignment with the applicable legislative and regulatory requirements and with the company’s strategy. The successful candidate will also identify and report the compliance risks to management and the Board, while fostering and strengthening a culture of sustainability across the business.

THE PERSON
- Senior compliance professional with significant experience in successfully building, developing and managing a full end-to-end compliance program;
- Strong knowledge and experience with Sustainability/ESG practices and regulations;
- Experience gained in industry or in consulting/advisory in one of the Big 4 firms (at Associate Director or Director level).
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to interact and influence at management level.
