Senior Director of UX

Barden have been engaged by a rapidly growing software company to introduce a Senior Director of UX to their business. 

Working in a remote capacity, the successful person will lead the global team of product designers and researchers to help drive the business forward.

The User Experience team is high performing, made up of friendly, self-driven achievers seeking more than just a traditional IT role. They are looking for skilled architect, with experience in enterprise-class product lifecycles and agile methodologies. This would allow you to bring your expertise in user research, user journeys, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and digital experiences to show others the way forward.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver user-centered solutions and design system execution, bringing a well-honed design eye, data fluency, product literacy, and skilled facilitation. 
• Be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the user experience team, while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders on product vision/strategy, design thinking, and roadmap delivery.
• Lead and collaborate across product teams to execute effective research, discovery, and usability validation.
• Build strong partnerships with Product and Engineering leaders, establishing trust, credibility, and a sense of ownership with cross-functional teams.  
• Use of design thinking to facilitate structured ideation activities and workshops, while bringing the customer into the design process early and often. 

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Extensive design experience and multiple years in a leadership/management role
• Portfolio/specific team projects that demonstrates your experience
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies, design, and implementation
• Strategic and data driven, blending qualitative and quantitative research techniques 
• Experience defining, measuring, and communicating the impact of UX internally and externally with customers
• Hands on expertise with standard tools of the trade (Figma, InVision, Mural, Adobe CC, Sketch, etc.)
• Experience with digital signage, mobile, ESN, or email communications software
