ROLE: Senior Finance Systems Specialist
REPORTING TO: Finance Systems Support Team Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE:

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Position Description:
To deliver optimum utilisation of Finance Systems and promote process best practice within systems. This person will act as the link between finance and the technology team, supporting various business units within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports ongoing enhancements to finance systems including any upgrades, enhancements & troubleshooting. In addition, be involved in any software implementations or upgrades.
- Resolves complex queries and issues with Finance Operations / FP&A users and SAP specialists.
- Work on improvement projects across the finance systems, including core SAP and any system that integrate into the finance ERP.
- Develops and delivers systems training working with Process Owners and users.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with Finance Process Owners and teams, IT and BU Finance stakeholders.
- Co-ordinates and performs system testing as required.
- Responsible for full functional support for Performance Management reports (assess and scope impact and testing required for changes, system upgrades etc., perform unit, user acceptance and regression testing, resolve user queries and issues).
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent relevant work experience in Finance.
- Experience in SAP (Financial Accounting, Controlling and Project System Modules desired).
- S/4 Hana experience. Including testing experience for upgrades and releases.
- Systematic problem solver, ability to implement solutions and to solve root cause of problems.
- Excellent understanding of end-to-end financial processes and systems.
- Knowledge of IT developments & evolving best practice.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.
- Heavy user experience in SAP
- Attention to detail is critical requirement and problem-solving mindset
Desirable:
- SAP GRC experience with knowledge on GRC risk management an advantage.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The Company operates on a hybrid bases, with circa 1-2 days a week in the office. Note anchor day in the office on Tuesday.
- Office is centrally located in Dublin 2.
- Applicants must be fully eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship requirements.
Salary range for this role is maximum €70k
