ABOUT THE ROLE
The legal issues that the company faces are those typical of a family office: offshore trusts; offshore and onshore taxation; financial regulation; residential and commercial conveyancing; investing and divesting in LP funds; employment law; aircraft transactions; some basic company secretarial/corporate governance work (e.g., preparation of board resolutions for urgent execution when the Company Secretarial Manager is on sick leave).
The successful candidate will work on a variety of legal matters, often ad hoc, across all topics and jurisdictions, such as Australia, Singapore, UK, Ireland, BVI, Isle of Man, New York, Sweden, Germany, and Luxembourg.
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Qualified Irish Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE;
- Strong legal training, ideally from a top tier Irish or international law firm;
- Candidates from a variety of areas will be considered, such as Tax, Aviation, Financial Services & Banking, Corporate/Commercial, Real Estate, and Private Client;
- Experience in working across various jurisdictions and interacting with others from various cultures essential;
- A commercial outlook and solutions driven personality is a must;
- Experience in a private client law firm or in-house in a family office is desirable;
- Qualification from STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) is desirable.
