ROLE: Infrastructure Specialist – Backup & Storage
LOCATION: Cork (Hybrid)
Barden IT are delighted to continue our partnership with a Global Organisation as they work to bring senior oversight roles in-house and build a new Network Ops team out of Cork.
In this role, you would be responsible for the technical leadership, execution, delivery, and maintenance of storage infrastructure/technologies and hybrid/public cloud implementations. You would also lead the execution and delivery of storage & backup automation.
These roles offer up to a six-figure salary and an attractive benefits & bonus package. Our client also offers very flexible working arrangements with some weekly visits to their strategic Cork site.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Configuration management development: Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet Enterprise.
- Build templates for both San & NAS storage delivery.
- Serves as an advocate for business stakeholders into IT and helps evangelize the role of midrange technology back to the business.
- Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Capability to select the appropriate services based on storage, data, or security requirements.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Experience delivering Software Defined Infrastructure, leveraging automation, orchestration, scripting technologies.
- Experience in migrating infrastructure and OS.
- Experienced in Storage & backup technologies – specifically NetApp, EMC & IBM storage, Commvault.
- Orchestration / Automation skills: Infrastructure as Code, Scripting including Terraform, PowerShell for Windows, shell scripting for Red Hat Linux, Python, or Ruby.
- Ability to work with various cloud technology.
