ABOUT THE ROLE:
You’ll be focused on:
- Leading the frontend design and development of a customer-facing web application
- Writing full-stack code as needed, including backend development in PHP and Java
- Prototyping, optimising, and launching new product features
- Running A/B experiments to drive data-informed decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across design, product, and engineering
- Identifying opportunities to reduce tech debt and improve overall system performance
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Extensive experience building frontend applications using JavaScript, React, CSS, and related frameworks (e.g., Storybook)
- A strong full-stack foundation, including backend work in PHP or Java
- A user- and product-focused mindset, with a data-driven approach to development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially within distributed teams
- A track record of successfully leading projects and mentoring other engineers
- A pragmatic, proactive approach to technical challenges, with a focus on clean, maintainable solutions
