The Barden team are excited to be assisting a global tech organization who are establishing a presence in Cork. One of the first hires for the team in Cork will be a Senior Tax Analyst.
This brand new position will have a wide remit working across a range of tax heads. The Senior Tax Analyst will work closely with the local team in Ireland and the Senior Tax Director.
This role will offer the successful candidate a real opportunity to experience a global tax role, they will be involved in shaping the tax function and assisting with a wide range of high profile projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with local finance teams to ensure all tax compliance obligations met on a timely basis including responsibility for corporate and indirect tax compliance
- Responsible for ensuring all tax processes are efficient and kept updated, while also suggesting improvements as required
- Keeping up to date on changes in tax law and updating the wider business as appropriate and assisting with tax queries from the business
- Assisting with tax accounting and reporting, including calculating tax forecasts and budgets, supporting with audits etc
- Assist with Transfer Pricing reviews and ensuring adequate documentation is in place
- Liaising with tax authorities and third-party advisors
- Providing advice to stakeholders across the business on tax matters as required
About the person:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Tax Consultant and/or a qualified Accountant with min. 3 years’ PQE. The candidate will have experience in a large accounting firm or in a multinational environment. Ideally, they will have strong accounting skills and good international tax knowledge. The successful candidate will be a team player with good attention to detail and also a good communicator who builds strong relationships.
