ROLE: ” Site Reliability Engineer – Permanent”
LOCATION: Spain (Remote)

Strategically, the Technology leaders within the business have decided to bring the ‘SRE’ competency In-House which they feel will allow the ‘SRE Practice’ to best serve the business as it grows.
The successful candidate will be based remotely in Spain and work with a Geographically-dispersed team.
There is a ‘Follow-the-sun’ model in place so there is no regular On-call requirements.
This client has excelled in the area of Remote Connected Work-place policies & will support the set-up of a remote office etc…
You’ll get to work with experienced SRE’s who are happy to mentor across – Pipelines, Automation & Product Reliability Engineering. The unit also tends to get involved in “Application Architecture”. (Head of IT – Quote)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Key focus areas will include – working on the main migration project from a Monolithic structure sitting on VMWare to AWS! Another key project will be Modernisation which entails the decomposing of the Monolith!
- Gather and analyze metrics from all layers of the C2P platform (AWS, OS, Application, DB) to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
- Participate in a follow-the-sun support model ensuring the reliability and uptimes of the C2P platform.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures using a dynamic DevOps model.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Your background will show a n ability to program with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Ruby & JavaScript.
- Experience with automation & scripting languages, including Cloud-Formation and Terraform .
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, including supporting IAM, Networking, S3, Lambda, EC2 & RDS services.
