Barden is acting on behalf of a renewable energy company to support the appointment of a Project Manager to the team. This is a DRC role beginning at a 6 month duration with the potential of extension. The role will be based out of their Cork offices with hybrid working of 2 days onsite per week.

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of projects and programs. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders – ensuring that senior stakeholders have full visibility over progression of delivery.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead and manage projects with a focus on transformational initiatives, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Utilise project management tools, including Smartsheets, to monitor progress, track risks and issues, and drive successful execution of transformation objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with overarching business transformation strategies.
  • Apply project management best practices, advanced methodologies, and robust governance frameworks to ensure successful delivery of transformational projects.
  • Work closely with multiple workstream leads to understand their roadmaps and align interdependencies across the programme.
  • Produce clear and insightful reports to keep senior management informed of delivery progress and programme status.
  • Capture outputs from workshops and support workstream leads in refining and enhancing their delivery roadmaps.
  • Identify resource gaps and recommend additional skills or capabilities required to achieve successful project outcomes.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Over 5 years of project management experience, ideally within IT or related sectors, with a proven history of leading transformational initiatives.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, with hands-on experience using tools such as SmartSheets to support complex transformation projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation to achieve impactful results.
  • Exposure to change management projects would be advantageous.
  • Consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with a strong focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Experience with divestment or acquisition projects is a plus, but not required.
