Barden is delighted to partner with a leading technology organisation to assist the CTO of Software in appointing a Software Test Lead with expertise in Cloud technologies, particularly AWS. In this position, you’ll be responsible for leading exciting new projects, giving direction to QA teams, and collaborating closely with the Global Head of Software Test Engineering. The Global Head manages the testing strategy for mobile applications supporting the organisation’s services and oversees the cloud testing environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Shape the test engineering and test automation strategy for the company’s cloud environment.
- Participate in the daily manual and automation testing efforts of the team.
- Decide on test direction and what needs to be tested.
- Lead and give direction to onshore and offshore teams from both a manual and automation testing perspective.
- Review and sign off on test cases and test plans.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- You will need to have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and be familiar with Jira.
- You have experience in Agile/Scrum development environments, showcasing expertise in testing consumer web/mobile backend systems.
- You hold in-depth knowledge of deploying microservices in the AWS cloud, complemented by hands-on experience in API and microservices testing.
- Ideally you will be proficient in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation, along with strong knowledge of JIRA.
- Practical experience with test management tools and test automation frameworks (e.g., XCUI, Appium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Jira Xray) will also be important.
- You demonstrate strong technical and test leadership skills, with a capacity for effective collaboration across engineering, testing, development, and product management.
