Barden partners with BRUIN Financial to establish expert Financial Services recruitment firm in Dublin

Barden is pleased to announce it has entered into a new partnership with UK recruiter BRUIN Financial, to provide high quality specialist recruitment services into the Irish financial services sector, including both national and international firms.

The new joint venture is the first of its kind between a UK and Irish recruitment company since the 2016 EU referendum, demonstrating that whilst politicians struggle to agree on a post Brexit strategy, forward-thinking businesses are finding innovative solutions.

The significant number of financial companies increasing their footprint in Dublin in response to Brexit includes many well-known banking and financial advisory firms, such as Bank of America, Fidelity, and JP Morgan, who have all signaled plans to increase staffing levels in Ireland since the referendum.

And whilst the EU may have accused Britain of engaging in ‘magical thinking’ over its approach to Brexit – BRUIN and Barden are thinking creatively.

BRUIN, which covers front, middle and back office roles in investment management, banking, and insurance, is headquartered in the UK with offices in London and Manchester.

Barden specialises in accounting, finance and tax roles to a wide range of clients from offices in Dublin and Cork. BRUIN will be headquartered in Ireland in Barden’s Dublin office.

Both companies are recognised experts in their fields with strong reputations with their clients and candidates. BRUIN has already collaborated with Barden’s senior management team on a number of projects and both companies share a vision of providing best in class solutions

Barden Managing Partner and Director of BRUIN Ireland, Ed Heffernan, commented: “This partnership enables Barden to extend our coverage within accounting, finance and tax recruitment, and complements our existing operations in Dublin and Cork.”

“This is a natural progression for Barden – Ireland has a strong, rapidly growing domestic and international financial services industry, employing over 40,000 people directly across in excess of 400 financial services businesses and this is a fantastic platform for us to continue to build on our success.”

Kirsty Pineger, Head of Investment and Middle Office at BRUIN and Director of BRUIN Ireland, said: “This partnership reflects our strategy to extend and enhance the range of services that we provide to our clients and candidates, and offers them strong continuity even in the wake of Brexit uncertainty.”

“By bringing together the strength of the Barden business in Ireland, the specialist experience of BRUIN in the financial services sector and the combined UK and Irish candidate [pools] of both businesses, we are perfectly positioned to deliver a market-leading recruitment solution to the financial services sector in Ireland.”
