Barden is proud to be exclusively partnering with a global business to appoint a commercially minded Head of Finance to play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling its Australia and New Zealand operations.
“This is a unique opportunity to join privately owned, Irish-headquartered business at the beginning of our new journey. We’re entering a brand-new market, building a direct manufacturing and commercial presence, and creating the foundations for long-term growth across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for someone who is excited by building something from the ground up, partnering closely with leadership and helping shape the future of the business in the region.” – CEO
Working closely with the newly appointed General Manager for Australia, this person will lead the establishment of the finance function in ANZ from day one. You’ll be responsible for creating the financial control environment from scratch, supporting acquisitions and integrations, partnering with commercial leadership, and helping build the infrastructure required to support a significant growth journey.
The successful person will be a key member of the leadership team as the business transitions from a distributor model to a fully integrated manufacturing and commercial operation. Over time, they will also have the opportunity to build and lead a centralised finance support model for the region.
- If you are an experienced finance professional with a track record of operating in high-growth, evolving businesses and enjoy creating structure where none exists, then we should talk.
- If you have circa 6+ years PQE and have experience supporting acquisitions, integrations and group reporting within a larger organisation, then we should talk.
- If you’re commercially minded, enjoy partnering closely with senior leadership, and are excited by the opportunity to help build a business from the ground up in a new market, then we should definitely talk.
This role is likely to be based in Brisbane and will involve regular travel across Australia (Brisbane and Sydney) and New Zealand.
