Barden are delighted to be engaged by the CFO of a growing, international business to hire a Financial Controller to lead their finance team. It is a broad leadership role that offers exposure to reporting, treasury, team, strategy and a seat close to decision-making.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Working closely with the CFO, this role takes ownership of the full breadth of the finance function in a business trading internationally.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts;
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team;
- Managing day-to-day treasury operations, cashflow forecasting, and FX exposure;
- Ownership of the annual audit process and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions;
- Enhancing financial systems, processes, and controls;
- Contributing to financial planning and strategic decision-making.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5 to 10 years’ experience at a senior level;
- Prior experience in group finance, commercial finance, or financial control;
- Experience leading or developing finance team members;
- A confident communicator, comfortable with stakeholders at all levels;
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
