Barden has been engaged by a leading telecommunications company looking to hire a privacy and AI lawyer.
THE ROLE
- Drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), support on response to and investigations of data protection incidents, and interact as necessary with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) and other EU supervisory authorities;
- Conducting and advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and AI risk assessments.
- Advising on all applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and ePrivacy Regulations, as well as emerging regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act, Data Act, NIS2 and CER;
- Supporting product, governance, marketing and technology teams on privacy and AI compliance matters;
- Ensuring that privacy and AI-related policies and procedures are compliant and implemented appropriately;

THE PERSON
- Irish or UK qualified lawyer;
- 3+ years’ PQE;
- Excellent experience data protection and privacy experience as detailed above;
- Experience advising on AI governance, digital regulation or technology-related legal matters is an advantage.
