Barden are delighted to be partnering with our client, a large Global biopharmaceutical business in their search for a Senior Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting, based in Cork.
Reporting to the Director of Finance within the Controllership function, you will own the accounting and reporting for a defined area of the business, partnering closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation to strengthen the quality of Financial Reporting and support the growth of the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process for your area.
- Analyse financial performance and provide clear, well-reasoned variance commentary.
- Prepare management information and external reporting schedules that support group disclosures.
- Build and maintain a strong internal control environment across your remit.
- Partner with FP&A, Legal, Technical Accounting, and other teams on complex commercial arrangements.
- Manage internal and external audit cycles, along with balance sheet reviews.
- Contribute to budget and forecast preparation.
- Lead or support ad hoc projects as they arise.
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), with at least eight years’ relevant experience.
- Experience gained within a multinational organisation; biotech or pharma exposure is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage complex arrangements and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Highly organised, analytical, and a confident communicator.
- A genuine self-starter who takes ownership of their work.
