ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for the preparation of management accounts for the business
  • Key involvement in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • The development of strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and supports the audit process by providing timely and accurate information and data
  • Evaluation of processes and recommends and implements process improvements
  • Responsible for supporting the Statutory Accounting Activities
  • Ad-hoc project and tax work as required.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience in industry
  • Experience with SAP is a strong advantage
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • An effective team player, who demonstrates excellent leadership and negotiation skills.

Financial Accountant – Construction – Onsite

Barden are delighted to be working with a well-established and hugely successful Irish business in the construction industry, headquartered here in Cork, who are looking for a strong Financial Accountant to join their high-performing Finance team. Reporting to a high-calibre Financial Controller, this person will have a wide range of responsibilities including month-end reporting, liaising with key stakeholders across the business on commercial activities and ad-hoc tax and project work. This will be a move for the long-term.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for posting of month-end close and accounting transactions;
  • Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned entities;
  • Preparation of cashflows and related tasks;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and support the audit process by providing timely and accurate information and data;
  • Assist with the preparation of board reports for the group;
  • The development of strong relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Evaluation of processes and recommends and implements process improvements;
  • Ad-hoc projects as required.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant with 3+ years’ PQE;
  • Experience in a similar industry preferred but not essential;
  • Experience with IFRS is desirable;
  • Strong technical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – the ability to work effectively within a small, tight-knit team;
  • An effective team player, who demonstrates excellent leadership and negotiation skills.

Barden are partnering exclusively with a global life sciences business on the appointment of a Legal Counsel to join its expanding in-house legal team in Dublin.

This is a newly created position, reflecting the continued growth of the business and its legal function.

THE ROLE

The legal team supports the organisation globally from Ireland. You’ll join a collaborative team working on a broad range of commercial and strategic matters, including commercial contracts, M&A activity, intellectual property, corporate governance, litigation management, insurance matters, etc. It’s very much a role where no two days are the same.
