This role involves overseeing all aspects of assigned jobs, ensuring safety, adherence to specifications, budget management, timely completion, and customer satisfaction. The Opportunity:

Project Initiation and Planning:

  • Forge strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Initiate projects.
  • Ensure deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
  • Coordinate and manage project setup and maintenance within the company ERP system.
  • Develop project schedules, progress tracking, and forecasts.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Lead and coordinate design engineering, procurement, manufacturing operations, quality, safety, and other supporting functions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage internal project teams and activities.
  • Conduct/manage specification reviews to develop and confirm the scope of work.
  • Monitor safety programs with special emphasis on job site safety.
  • Manage planning and execution of customer acceptance testing and supporting documentation.

Customer Interaction and Satisfaction:

  • Act as the direct customer point of contact for managing project execution.
  • Be the single point of contact for all project issues.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support corporate initiatives and participate in continuous improvement processes.

Business Acumen and Technical Guidance:

  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external customers.
  • Support the activities of the Sales and Marketing/Product Development Departments.
  • Support preparation of ‘Budgetary’ and ‘Firm’ proposals.
  • Review contractual terms and conditions.

Quality and Performance Management:

  • Manage change control on assigned projects.
  • Provide input for performance evaluations of project team members.
  • Support quality processes and initiatives.

Key Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in engineering (Biotech Eng., Chem. E., ME or Metallurgical/Materials Eng.)
  • 2 – 5 years post graduate work in an Engineering field.
  • Management experience.
  • Able to develop detailed cross functional schedules utilising Microsoft Project.
  • Able to read and interpret AutoCAD P&ID Drawings.
  • Able to work with controls engineers to ensure the mechanical system as installed will function properly.
  • A successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work well with a
  • team, as well as be self-reliant and independent when necessary
