Denis Galvin is Partner of Senior Appointments and Life Sciences within Barden’s talent advisory and recruitment firm. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and prior to joining Barden, he spent over 10 years across practice, multinational and start up environments.
He joined Barden in 2018 and is an expert in recruitment, talent and career advisory. Denis leads the Life Sciences team, partnering with global and indigenous businesses across the pharmaceutical, medical device, FMCG and Agri sectors. He collaborates with leadership teams across a broad client base on their people strategies as well as supporting the candidate community with career planning and advice.
Denis also specialises in Senior Appointments across finance, general management and executive search and leadership positions.
Aidan Crowley is a Practice Lead with Barden’s Life Sciences Practice. For over eight years he has worked in recruitment with a key focus on life sciences and quality, and supporting mid to senior professional nationally to achieve their career ambitions.
He works directly with professionals and business leaders across the life sciences sector to build key relationships and ensure those he is supporting to make the best and most informed decisions about their professional futures and teams.
Aidan joined Barden in 2023 and his focus has been to bring life sciences to Barden, and works closely with the partners and leadership team across the other areas of the business to build the Life Sciences Practice nationally.
Jonathan Olden is Managing Partner of Barden Munster. He began his career as solicitor, with one of Cork’s largest legal firms. During his time there he gained excellent experience advising and representing a range of clients. In 2010 Jonathan moved to the recruitment sector. In that period he recruited and lead teams in Cork and Dublin, within the legal, accounting and finance space.
In 2017, Jonathan founded Barden Munster with Ed Heffernan and Elaine Brady – since then Barden has grown organically into a hugely successful team of talent advisory & recruitment experts in Dublin and Cork.
He now leads a team of over 20 talent advisory and recruitment professionals covering accounting & tax, business support, financial services, legal, life sciences, supply chain and technology.

Bernardo Pina LLM
Bernardo Pina is a qualified lawyer in Portugal, having trained in a top tier Portuguese law firm. Bernardo went on to practise in-house in both Portugal and in Ireland with multinational companies in the technology and life sciences sectors. He is an expert in legal recruitment in Ireland and other international markets, focusing on opportunities for qualified lawyers, company secretarial and data protection professionals. Bernardo partners with a variety of organisations and professionals across all industries and sectors, both in private practice and in-house.

Jonathan has an undergrad in law from UCC and qualified as a solicitor in 2006. Jonathan moved into recruitment in 2010 and has worked in leadership roles both locally and nationally since then. As a founding partner of Barden, Jonathan advises leadership teams across Munster on their talent attraction and retention strategy.
