Barden are delighted to be supporting our client, a construction business who are currently looking to hire a Part time Financial Controller.
The role reports to the Managing Director who has a really positive reputation and is well regarded. In this role, you’ll enjoy the freedom to work remotely to hours that suit you. You will act as a key point of contact for all Finance related matters to the MD and other leaders in the business. This is a superb opportunity for someone who is either:
– Returning to work
– Looking to take a step back from a demanding role
– Someone who has one or two other existing clients on a consultancy basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Produce Management Accounts on a quarterly basis ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Responsible for banking, accounts payable, intercompany and sales receipts reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance for all statutory and taxation obligations.
- Filing of Annual Financial Statements, partnering with external advisors.
- Monitor project progress in line with budgets and reporting on same to the Managing Director.
- Report on expenditure and cash flow to enable decision making.
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Qualified accountant with a recognised body.
- Knowledge of the construction sector would be an advantage.
- Must be a genuine self-starter and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Proficient in Excel and industry accounting packages.
